Você sabe como são as férias de verão na Europa? Você acha que só aqui no Brasil o destino preferido é a praia? Vou te contar um segredo: os europeus também são loucos por uma praia e pelo sol, especialmente aqueles que moram mais ao norte, onde os invernos são mais rigorosos e longos.
E vou te contar mais um segredo: não é só no Caribe e no Brasil que existem praias lindas, viu? Eu tive o prazer de visitar algumas e trarei aqui para vocês os meus destinos preferidos de praia na Europa. Bora viajar comigo?
Antes de começar, gostaria de deixar claro que não existe uma ordem de preferência nessa lista. São todas encantadoras e recomendo de olhos fechados uma visita na sua próxima férias de verão no velho Continente. Então, lá vamos nós:
– Ibiza: nem só de festa vive Ibiza. Essa ilha conhecida mundialmente por ser animada, cheia de discotecas, jovens e “vida loca” tem praias belíssimas como a Cala Comte, uma das minhas preferidas. É linda, com água em vários tons de azul e quase uma piscina, além da areia branquinha como gostamos no Brasil. Obviamente, se você estiver na ilha, não deixe de ir a alguma balada, Pacha ou alguma outra e caso tenha tempo, pegue um ferry e passeie de bicicleta pela sua espetacular vizinha Formentera.
– Menorca: essa ilha também faz parte das Baleares com suas vizinhas famosas Ibiza e Mallorca, onde a família real espanhola passa férias “by the way”. Mas Mallorca não está nas minhas “top destinations”. Vamos falar de Menorca, bem mais tranquila e para um público mais família. Tem praias de tons cristalinos impressionantes como Macarella e Macarelleta. Outra atração que vale uma visita é a “Cueva de Xoroi”, uma caverna que fica num penhasco da costa sul da ilha, na urbanização de Cala en Porter. Minha dica é tomar um drink no bar da caverna enquanto aprecia o pôr-do-sol.
– Sardenha: quer algo parecido com Menorca, mas com a “dolce vita” italiana? A ilha de Sardena é o seu lugar. Você já deve ter visto fotos de perfis de viagens no Insta com águas cristalinas e paisagens de tirar o fôlego. Tenho certeza disso. Se não sabe do que estou falando, dá uma olhadinha no insta do @giuseppe_chironi e depois conversamos. Poderia citar muitas aqui, mas as minhas preferidas são: La pelosa Stintino e Spiaggia dell´elefante. Se tiver tempo, faça uma visita a Isola Maddalena.
– Sicilia: mas nem só de praia vive o ser humano, principalmente na Europa. Se você quer aliar uma praia com muita cultura, boa comida, vinho, vulcão, monumentos etc, Sicília é o seu destino. Sou apaixonada por esse lugar! Está precisando de alguns incentivos para se convencer? Aqui vão alguns: nessa ilha você respira história; pode visitar 7 patrimônios da humanidade; o maior vulcão da Europa, o Etna; visitar vinhedos, cidades históricas e que foram retratadas em vários filmes como Taormina, Siracusa, Corleone; tomar um drink no Bar Vitelli, onde foi gravada a festa de casamento do personagem interpretado por Al Pacino no filme “O Poderoso Chefão”. Será que preciso continuar?
– Ilhas gregas: essas merecem um capítulo à parte. Tem para todos os gostos e bolsos. Dentre as mais famosas estão Mykonos, a Ibiza grega, conhecida pelas suas festas e frequentada pelo público jovem “cool” do mundo todo. Santorini vem em seguida, mas com uma proposta mais romântica. Infelizmente existem algumas menos conhecidas que ainda não tive a oportunidade de estar, mas que constam na minha “bucket list”, principalmente Zakynthos. Da um “google” e depois me conta o que achou.
Nossa Ju! Mas só tem ilha na Europa para passar as férias de verão? Não! Mas… esses são alguns dos meus destinos preferidos. Também recomendo a Costa Brava, no litoral da Catalunha, entre Barcelona e a França. Tem praias lindíssimas no continente italiano, na “Côté d´Azur” na França, na Croácia… Mas esses ficarão para uma próxima oportunidade.

5 must-see destinations for vacation in Europe
Do you know what summer holidays are like in Europe? Do you think that only for us Brazilians are beaches the favorite destination? So let me tell you a secret: Europeans are crazy about going to the beach and sunbathing, especially those who live further north where the winters are harsher and longer.
And I’ll tell you one more secret: it’s not just in the Caribbean sea and in Brazil that there are beautiful beaches! I had the privilege of visiting some of them and I will bring you some of my favorite beach destinations in Europe today. So, are you ready to travel with me?
Before we get started, I would like to point out that the list is not in order of preference. They are all very charming and I highly recommend a visit on your next summer vacation to the Old Continent. So, here we go:
– Ibiza: Ibiza is not just about partying. This island worldwide known for being lively, full of clubs, young people and “vida loca” has astounding beaches such as Cala Comte, one of my favorites. It’s so beautiful, with calm water in different shades of blue, looking almost like a swimming pool, besides the white sand just as we love in Brazil. But of course, if you’re around, don’t miss out going to a nightclub. It can be Pacha or any other. And if you have enough time, take a ferry, rent a bike and cycle through its spectacular neighbor Formentera.
– Menorca: this island is also part of the Balearic Islands along with its famous neighbors Ibiza and Mallorca, where by the way the Spanish Royal family spends their holidays. However, Mallorca is not on my top list. Let´s talk about Menorca, which is much quieter and very popular for family vacations. Menorca has beaches with impressive crystalline water tones such as Macarella and Macarelleta. Another must-see attraction is called “Cueva de Xoroi”, a cave located in a cliff on the south coast of the island, in “Cala en Porter” . My tip is to have a drink at the cave bar while enjoying the sunset.
– Sardinia: do you want something similar to Menorca but with the Italian “dolce vita” touch? So the island of Sardinia is your place! You may have already seen some travel photos on Instagram with crystal clear waters and breathtaking landscapes. I’m quite sure you did. But if you don’t know what I’m talking about, check out @ giuseppe_chironi ‘s instagram profile and then get back to me. I could name many of them here but my favorites are: La pelosa Stintino e Spiaggia dell´elefante. If you have time, it is worth visiting Isola Maddalena as well.
– Sicily: well it´s not only by the beach that a human being lives, especially in Europe. If you want to ally a visit to the beach along with a lot of culture, good food, wine, volcanos, monuments, etc, Sicily is your destination. I just love this place! Do you need any inspiration to convince yourself? Here there is a short list: on this island you breathe history; you can visit 7 World Heritage sites; Europe’s tallest volcano, Etna; vineyards, historical cities that have been portrayed in several films such as Taormina, Syracuse, Corleone; have a drink at Bar Vitelli, where the wedding party of Al Pacino´s character in the movie “The Godfather” was recorded. Do I really need to carry on?
Greek islands: this destination deserves a separate blog. There is something for every taste and budget. Among the most famous are Mykonos, the Greek Ibiza, known for its parties and visited by “cool” young people from all over the world. Santorini comes next, but with a more romantic proposal. Unfortunately, there are some less known ones that I haven´t had the opportunity to visit yet, but they are on my bucket list, mainly Zakynthos. Google it and let me know what you think.
Wow Ju! Are there only islands in Europe to spend summer vacations? No! However… these are some of my favorite destinations. I also recommend a visit to the Costa Brava, on the coast of Catalonia, located between Barcelona and France. There are stunning beaches on the Italian continent, as well as on the “Côté d´Azur ”in France, in Croatia… But I´ll leave these destinations for a next text.
