Camila: Hello, everybody, and welcome to our fifth episode of our astrology series. Today we are talking about the Leo sign, the fifth sign of the Zodiac. People who are born between July 23rd and August 22nd are Leo people. Leo is a fire sign and it’s represented by the lion. Today I have Victor here to explain to us why are you, Leo people such show offs?
Victor: I don’t know the reason why Leo people are show offs. I just know they are. They love to be in the center of attention.
Camila: And do you consider yourself a show off person? Do you like to be in the center of attention?
Victor: It depends where. I can tell you that if it’s at a party, I don’t like to be the center of attention. If it’s to deliver a lecture, I love that. I feel empowered, I just love to be on the stage and to talk to people, and if it’s about work, I really like to be the center of attention, but if it’s about private life, that’s not really my thing. So I think we might prefer to be the center of attention in some aspects of our lives and not in other aspects.
Camila: And when is your birthday?
Victor: My birthday is on the 5th of August.
Camila: And what do you think that is the strongest characteristic about your sign that people most comment about?
Victor: Well, the one that you just said about, like, being the center of attention. And another thing that people say it’s, we like to communicate a lot. And this, I think, is really true for me.
Camila: Leo is ruled by the sun, the dazzling celestial body which we can’t live without. So it may have something related to this, this Leo stereotype of always being in the spotlight. You know.
Victor: I kind of agree.
Camila: There’s also this other characteristic of Leo’s that I’ve learned and I love it, is that you are very loyal people.
Victor: This is 100% true. Sometimes I get very sad actually, because when other people are not as loyal as I think they should be, I have a friend here and he’s just a new mate from jiu jitsu that I’m practicing. And this guy is a very cool guy and probably in the third week we were training together, he said “Oh, let’s do something on Sunday”. And I was like, okay, let’s do something on Sunday. And on Sunday I texted him and he didn’t reply. For me when this happens, I lose trust, you know? And then this happened again, and again three times. So I can be colleagues, but I cannot be friends. If you say and you don’t do, it’s a thing that I prefer not to really relate, you know? And that’s the thing that I believe Leos really care about.
Camila: Flaky people are the worst. I hate that too. The symbol of your sign is a lion and the lion is the king of the jungle. So we can only assume that you’re going to be leaders. Do you have other Leo friends that are like you? Like leaders?
Victor: I have one good friend. I have… I’m trying to think here. I have one good friend. He’s a leader now, but he just got to be a leader at the age of 33. So he took longer to get this position in his company and he doesn’t feel as comfortable as I do. He likes more to work by himself and not to lead people. But now he’s getting used to do that. And I think the sign is going to help him. You know.
Camila: I understand the last thing that I was going to say about Leo is that you are always okay with being goofy and like playing and not being afraid of looking ridiculous.
Victor: My girlfriend says that to me all the time. We don’t really give a **** .Oh, I’m sorry, but it’s really funny. Like, we really don’t care to look ridiculous. Of course we feel ashamed of them right afterwards because it’s like, okay, we were the center of attention, but not in a good way. So we regret that. But actually, when it’s happening, we don’t, we don’t really care, like, because we are doing our thing and this is our thing, and then we’re going to go for what we think that’s our thing, that we should do. You know, that’s it.
