O mês de junho é mundialmente conhecido como o mês do Orgulho LGBTQIA+, ou Pride. Nessa época, celebramos a diversidade e relembramos quem lutou e luta por uma sociedade mais justa e inclusiva. É um mês dedicado também à luta e a conquista de espaços para essa população e várias celebridades, parte da comunidade ou apoiadores, entram nessa luta! Uma importante pauta da comunidade é a representação na mídia, então, nesse texto, vamos conhecer 7 celebridades que usam sua voz e sua plataforma para lutar pela causa LGBTQIA+
1. Sir Ian McKellen
Sir Ian McKellen, conhecido por seus papéis em X-men e Senhor dos Aneis, é um renomado ator britânico e ativista LGBTQIA+. Ele é abertamente gay e tem sido um defensor incansável dos direitos LGBTQIA+ por décadas. McKellen usa sua fama para combater a discriminação e defender a igualdade em todas as esferas da sociedade.
2. Laverne Cox
Laverne Cox é uma atriz transgênero que alcançou reconhecimento internacional por seu papel na série “Orange Is the New Black”. Laverne foi a primeira atriz abertamente trans indicada a um prêmio por atuação no Emmy. Ela se tornou um ícone da comunidade transgênero, usando sua visibilidade para promover a compreensão e a aceitação de pessoas trans em todo o mundo.
3. Janelle Monáe

One important agenda of the community is representation in the media, so in this text, let’s get to know 7 celebrities who use their voice and platform to advocate for the LGBTQIA+ cause.
