Camila: Hello, everybody and welcome to our third episode of our astrology series. Today we are talking about the Gemini sign, the third sign of the zodiac. People who were born between May 21st and June 20th are Gemini people. Gemini is an air sign and it’s represented by a set of twins. Today I have Daniel here with me to discuss the duality of this sign and how hard it is to be a Gemini.
Daniel: Okay, alright.
Camila: Daniel, first of all, when is your birthday?
Daniel: Oh, my birthday is the 26th of May.
Camila: So, what is it like being a Gemini? Do you feel like you have an impulsive way of acting?
Daniel: I can’t deny that, but I don’t think it defines me 100%. But I do think there is a little bit of that, yes. Sometimes I can go out on an instinct and just make a decision based more on an instinct than actually stopping and carefully thinking about it, maybe there’s a little bit of that impulsiveness there.
Camila: Good. And there’s also another personality trait about Gemini people is that you are very communicative. Do you consider yourself a communicative person?
Daniel: I guess it really depends if I’m comfortable. if I’m in an environment of people I don’t know, I’m really shy, really really shy. But if I’m in a place that I’m comfortable, full of people that I know I guess so, but again I think that most people work this way, right? Shy people at least.
Camila: Introverts.
Daniel: Yeah.
Camila: Yeah, I agree. And do you think you suffer from changing your mind frequently?
Daniel: Suffer is a strong word, but I think there are challenges to having trouble sticking with a decision, and I think it’s more the fact that it seems that there are so many ways and it’s hard to pick one, than actually sticking with it. So maybe making the decision, thinking about how maybe I will change my mind is harder than actually changing your mind.
Camila: And there’s also another fact that Gemini is an air sign and air signs are known for being volatile, so Gemini is more of a curious, inquisitive kind of sign. Maybe it makes sense that you change your mind frequently.
Daniel: I have heard before that I tend to maybe fantasize a little and imagine too much about possible scenarios and not being 100% grounded to reality, which, again, I don’t think it’s necessarily a bad thing, because you mentioned suffering before, but I don’t think it’s necessarily a bad thing. But I do think it’s sometimes the way I speak can be a little confusing, maybe, because of that way to think.
Camila: Yes, you are quick thinkers.
Daniel: Yeah, I don’t know if it’s just my inability or lack of training in actually public speaking, but I do feel like when I have to speak to a lot of people that my mind is just racing and it’s hard to actually establish a reasoning line in my speech.
Camila: But we hear a lot that Geminis are very social and talkative, which I have to agree because most of the Geminis that I know, including you, like to talk a lot, not like to talk, but you talk fairly a lot.
Daniel: That’s funny that you said that because I don’t know if I see myself this way. I do consider myself more of an introvert.
Camila: Because you have to look at the whole aspect of your birth chart. But when you do communicate, you communicate clearly.
Daniel: Oh yeah, I think I do tend to talk a lot but it’s just very restricted to very specific moments, but if you do get me talking, maybe it’s hard for me to stop.
Camila: Yes. What do you think is the strongest characteristic about your sign that people most comment about?
Daniel: Something I hear as a stereotype is “Oh, one moment you love someone and two seconds later you hate them, you just go on and change your life entirely from one day to another”. I think that’s the stereotype, that’s the thing I hear the most about it.
Camila: Nice. the duplicity, the Gemini, the twins, the set of twins. Yeah.
Daniel: And I do think that speaks of something that is important, you know, that is the adaptability, which is a basic human skill, I guess. You adapt to a situation so you know how to not be inconvenient or come out as clueless in the middle of a conversation and if that’s a characteristic of the sign then great! I do think I have a little bit of that.
Camila: Oh that’s great. I’ve come to love Gemini people. I didn’t in the past, but now I accept all signs, so… happy early birthday!
Daniel: Oh, thanks.

Daniel: “Sofrer” é uma palavra forte, mas acho que há desafios em ter dificuldade em manter uma decisão, e acho que tem mais a ver com o fato de que parece que há tantos caminhos e é difícil escolher um do que realmente manter a decisão.
