Camila: Hello everybody and welcome to our second episode of our astrology series. Today we are talking about the Taurus sign. The second sign of the Zodiac. People who were born between April 20th through May 21st are Taurus people. Taurus is represented by the Earth element and its animal is the bull. And today I invited Fernanda, who is a Taurus, to discuss some of the qualities of Taurus people and to tell me, and us if Taurus people are really stubborn or not.
Fernanda: Okay. That is a big job but I’ll accept it.
Camila: Nice. So, Fernanda, when is your birthday?
Fernanda: May 15th.
Camila: And do you consider yourself a Taurus person?
Fernanda: Yeah. One hundred percent. Fun fact, my last name is “Tourinho”. I was supposed to be a Gemini. So it was fate, it was fate that gave me the sign Taurus. So I consider myself one hundred percent a Taurus person.
Camilia: Would you consider yourself a “stubborn person”?
Fernanda: I am, I am a stubborn person. I think the stubbornness of Taurus comes from the… We don’t want to be wrong. So we are not going to give in to make you feel correct, you know? So we don’t want to feel wrong. That is why we’re stubborn. And we are also very loyal and faithful to our beliefs. That is something really positive, right? Sometimes it can come out as stubbornness.
Camila: I like to think that earth signs are very down to earth, literally. You like to hold yourself accountable, and also very reasonable. Someone who is very rational.
Fernanda: Yeah, I would say I am very rational. I think that’s something that I connect with others when they are rational. I connect a lot with other earth signs like Virgo and Capricorn and other Tauruses. But I believe that we can also feel emotions, like we can also feel emotional, we can also feel jealousy, we can also feel intense emotions, but when it’s time to be rational we are going to think before feeling. So it is for me, actually, a nice quality to have.

So I like to have my things, I like to have comfortable clothes, and sheets, and skin care, and beauty products. And, I don’t know, books, movies that are going to bring you comfort, and food also. That is one of the stereotypes of Taurus. I believe it is one hundred percent true that we like to eat because we are ruled by Venus. Like we like to be comfortable and to have nice things and, I don’t know, to feel pleasure. To be honest, I don’t think it’s a bad quality, I think it’s a bad quality when you do it all the time. When you only focus your life on doing things like this, but when it’s something that is not getting in the way of your life, I think it’s a very nice quality to be honest.
Camila: I agree. It’s a good trait to have. And also, do you think that having any of these traits is bad at any part of your life?
Fernanda: Yes, I am a little bit lazy to do physical activities. For example, right now I am debating if I will go to the gym after recording this with you. Or I will stay at home watching a new TV show that I really like. So, yeah, I am very connected to mental activities, if you want me to do a test right now, I will do it. But if you ask me to, I don’t know, run ten miles I won’t do it. So, I think that’s something that gets in the way of my life. I am not very prone to physical activities so I have to push myself to be more active, physically.
Camila: Any last considerations about the Taurus sign?
Fernanda: Mmm. I think we are very mistreated to be honest, especially online. I think people have a lot of prejudice against us. Sometimes they are true, like every other stereotype, but most of them are not, so don’t be generalistic, you know? Get to know the Taurus person, get to know their other, I don’t know, their other signs, and houses, like the rising, the Venus, and other planets because they influence their personality. Quando você foca sua vida apenas em fazer coisas assim, mas quando é algo que não está atrapalhando sua vida, acho que é uma qualidade muito boa para ser honesto.
