Gabriela: Hello, how are you?
Camila: I’m great! How are you?
Gabriela: I’m great but I’m actually very tired because these last few days have been really tiring and I have actually a lot of things to do for college but thank God Easter is coming and we are going to rest a little bit.
Camila: Yes, Easter is coming. When I think of Easter I think about chocolate.
Gabriela: Yes, me too. I actually love chocolate so it’s a great opportunity to eat a little without feeling guilty.
Camila: Do you have a specific kind of chocolate that you like?
Gabriela: I actually really like dark chocolate and also I avoid eating milk and dairy in general, so usually I just eat dark chocolate, because it’s usually vegan, so it’s very easy to find vegan dark chocolate.
Camila: Yes, me too. I always go for that because I’m also vegan, but it’s very hard for us to find the chocolate we can eat, right?
Gabriela: Yes, and a lot of vegan chocolate is really bad, it’s no good.
Camila: And what do you usually get or give to people on Easter?
Gabriela: I just give some easter eggs. It’s the tradition, you know? But I also spend the time with my family, just having a nice day, watching some movies, nothing special, but, you know, trying to enjoy Easter.
Camila: Nice. Do you like the kinder egg?
Gabriela: I actually used to love it when I was a kid, but since I don’t drink milk I don’t eat it anymore.
Camila: But is it a nostalgic memory for you? Do you remember eating this Kinder egg when you were a kid?
Gabriela: Yes, I used to love kinder egg and I used to love the toys that came with it, so yeah, I used to love it.
Camila: So, when I was living in America, I found out a very interesting fact about kinder eggs in the United States. When I asked you about eating kinder egg and the memory you have about eating kinder eggs is specially because of the toy inside, right?
Gabriela: Yes.
Camila: So, there was this one time that this kid in America bought a kinder egg and they ate the whole egg without opening it and taking the toy out.
Gabriela: Oh my God.
Camila: And their parents sued the company for selling food with a toy inside and now it’s baned all over the US the sales of kinder egg.
Gabriela: That’s so weird, and like these parents are crazy because, you know, their kid just swallowed the whole thing and now they want to ruin everybody’s childhood.
Camila: Exactly.
Gabriela: It’s very crazy, like I can’t imagine that. it’s so weird, but the USA has a lot of weird things, so… I should be used to it by now.
Camila: But the whole experience about kinder egg for me as it was for you, it’s the toy inside. I would go to the supermarket to buy the kinder egg just because of the toy inside. That was the main goal for me when I was buying the kinder egg, it was just because of the toy.
Gabriela: And even today there’s a lot of good easter eggs for adults with mugs, with some accessories, so it’s really weird that they just completely cut this part because of one kid.
Camila: Very interesting, but very sad at the same time, because now the kids won’t have the same experience that we did growing up. Okay, so I think that’s it, I wanna thank you for taking your time and talking to me.

Gabriela: Eu realmente gosto muito de chocolate amargo e também evito comer leite e laticínios em geral, então geralmente eu só como chocolate amargo, porque normalmente é vegano, então é muito fácil encontrar chocolate amargo vegano.
Camila: Sim, eu também. Eu sempre escolho isso porque também sou vegana, mas é muito difícil para nós encontrarmos o chocolate que podemos comer, certo?
Gabriela: Sim, e muito chocolate vegano é realmente ruim, não é bom.
Camila: E o que você costuma receber ou dar às pessoas na Páscoa?
Gabriela: Eu só dou alguns ovos de Páscoa. É tradição, sabe? Mas também passo o tempo com minha família, só aproveitando o dia, assistindo alguns filmes, nada de especial, mas, sabe, tentando aproveitar a Páscoa.
Camila: Legal. Você gosta de kinder ovo?
Gabriela: Na verdade eu adorava quando era criança, mas como não bebo leite não como mais.
Camila: Mas será uma lembrança nostálgica para você? Você se lembra de comer Kinder ovo quando era criança?
Gabriela: Sim, eu adorava o Kinder ovo e adorava os brinquedos que o acompanhavam, então sim, eu adorava.
Camila: Então, quando eu vivia nos Estados Unidos, descobri um fato muito interessante sobre os ovos kinder nos Estados Unidos. Quando lhe perguntei sobre comer kinder ovo e a lembrança que você tem sobre comer kinder ovo é especialmente por causa do brinquedo que tem dentro, certo?

Camila: E seus pais processaram a empresa por vender comida com um brinquedo dentro e agora está proibida em todos os EUA a venda de kinder ovo.
Gabriela: Isso é tão estranho, e como esses pais são loucos porque, sabe, o filho deles só engoliu tudo e agora eles querem arruinar a infância de todos.
Camila: Exatamente.
Gabriela: É muito louco, como se eu não pudesse imaginar isso. É tão estranho, mas os EUA têm muitas coisas estranhas, então… eu já deveria estar acostumada a isso.
Camila: Mas toda a experiência sobre o kinder ovo para mim, como foi para você, é o brinquedo que está dentro. Eu iria ao supermercado para comprar o kinder ovo só por causa do brinquedo que está dentro. Esse era o objetivo principal para mim quando eu comprava o kinder ovo, era só por causa do brinquedo.
Gabriela: E ainda hoje há muitos bons ovos de páscoa para adultos com canecas, com alguns acessórios, por isso é realmente estranho que eles apenas cortem completamente esta parte por causa de uma criança.
Camila: Muito interessante, mas muito triste ao mesmo tempo, porque agora as crianças não terão a mesma experiência que nós tivemos ao crescer. Certo, então eu acho que é isso, quero agradecer por ter tomado seu tempo e falado comigo.
